In a 2018 survey by AQPC, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) was rated the 3rd most anticipated technology over the next 18 months. It’s certainly a hot technology area.

If you haven’t come across it before, RPA is an easy and simple way to automate business operations without having to re-engineer them. RPA is a software ‘robot’ that imitates human actions. This involves the ‘robot’ undertaking a series of steps to perform a meaningful activity with your existing IT systems in a fully automated way, without any human involvement.

RPA tools are code-free, do not require any programming knowledge and as such, fit well into a low-code suite of tools.

LANSA provides RPA tools designed to interact with existing IBM i systems that operate different applications and manage end-to-end processes.

To learn more and see some examples in action, join our forthcoming Robotic Process Automation for IBM i webinar we have planned on the subject being run in conjunction with IBM Systems Magazine on the 24th October 2019. For full details and to register to attend, please click here.

LANSA Editors

The LANSA suite of Application Development and Integration tools first saw the light of day way back in 1987 as a Repository-based Rapid
Application Development (RAD). LANSA’s genesis sprang from our practical association with the Colgate-Palmolive company in Australia.
